Faculty of Mathematics

In January 2005 the physics and mathematics faculty (the oldest at the institute, created in 1939) was divided into the Mathematics faculty and the Faculty of physics and computer science.

The Dean of the mathematics faculty is Yarkov Vladimir Georgievich, candidate of pedagogical sciences and senior lecturer in the department of the mathematical analysis.

The deputy dean of studies is Korobejnikov Vladimir Semenovich, the senior teacher in the department of algebra and geometry.

The deputy dean of educational work is Demisenova Svetlana Vladimirovna, candidate of pedagogical sciences and senior lecturer in the department of methods of teaching mathematics and pedagogical technology.

There are three specialized departments within the Mathematics faculty:

Algebra and geometry managed by A.I.Valitskas, candidate of physics and mathematical science;

Mathematical analysis managed by T.I.Kushnir, candidate of pedagogical sciences;

Methods of teaching mathematics and pedagogical technologies managed by L. P.Shebanova, candidate of pedagogical sciences.

On internal branch it is trained 316 students are trained within the institute and a further 96 study externally by correspondence.
